As work moved out of offices and into homes, our desks became all-day destinations. With back-to-back calls and constant to-do lists, everyone was in need of a few pick-me-ups to keep the day going. Perfetti noticed that shift and wondered: What if we could provide people with a little break at their desk?" That's how the concept of the Workdesk Pack came to life, a convenient combination of their favorite treats, created especially for home office existence. And if they were going to make it happen, they needed someone to help them bring the concept to life as a design that would be timely, compelling, and practical. That's where PRAKRIA entered the picture as the packaging design company.
With the move to remote working and “work from home” routines during/after lockdowns, working professionals were looking for easily-accessible refreshment options at their desks.
Perfetti identified this shift as an opportunity: they needed to design a pack tailored for the work-desk environment, not just a regular retail pack.
The brand wanted to launch this “Work Desk Pack” primarily via digital channels, so speed, digital-readiness, and eye-catching design were all critical.
Our goal was to align product innovation with a rapidly changing lifestyle, the work-from-home routine. The concept was aptly named “Work Desk Pack” to immediately communicate its purpose and utility.
We designed a snack pack that complemented the work desk environment, compact, accessible, and tailored for quick refreshment during busy workdays.
The packaging design reflected fun, refreshment, and enjoyment, the core ethos of Perfetti. At the same time, it was shaped for functionality, making it convenient to keep and use on a desk without clutter.
Leveraging agility, PRAKRIA and Perfetti executed the design and digital launch cycle at remarkable speed. This rapid turnaround helped the brand stay ahead of the curve, capturing the new market behavior early and effectively.
The result was a product pack that blended design thinking with timely relevance, a perfect example of creativity meeting consumer insight in real time.
We asked ourselves: If a pack is going to sit on someone’s desk all day, what should it feel like? The answer: bright enough to lift your mood, compact enough to fit anywhere, and fun enough to make you smile.
We kept it simple and clear—"Workdesk Pack.” It says exactly what it is and makes it instantly relatable.
The look combined bold, cheerful colors with clean lines, making it stand out on both physical and digital shelves.
The structure was compact so it could fit neatly on a desk, always within reach for a quick treat.
We moved quickly from idea to design to delivery. With the market changing fast, timing was everything. Thanks to our agility as a packaging design company, the Workdesk Pack launched right when people needed it most.
The launch was a hit. People loved the idea of having a pack that was made for their new routines. It wasn’t just another box of candy, it was a thoughtful little desk companion.
