









Imperial Blue wanted to create visuals that embodied the essence of purity - crystal-clear, refreshing, and premium. But water is one of the hardest subjects to shoot in real life. Controlling its movement, reflections, and lighting in a physical setup is unpredictable, expensive, and often inconsistent. To overcome these challenges, the brand needed a smarter solution: one that could bring the elegance of flowing water to life in a way that was consistent, high-quality, and adaptable across campaigns. In a competitive bottled-water category, Imperial Blue needed visuals that not only looked premium, but could be produced with speed and consistency for various channels.
The brand's product images had to be of a high level of clarity, realism and polish, especially as 3D/CGI would be used rather than traditional photography.
There were multiple angles, finishes and lighting setups and although the production was to be high quality the process had to be simplistic enough to handle quantity.
The assets needed to work across diverse formats (online, print, packaging, POS) while retaining brand identity and premium feel.
A consistent “hero” visual standard had to be maintained even as new variants or creative executions were rolled out.
In short, the challenge was to translate the physical quality of Imperial Blue’s product into digital 3D visuals that were flawless, efficient and ready for omnichannel deployment.
Instead of using real-world footage we constructed a whole water environment through the use of 3D modeling and rendering.
Using 3D modeling and rendering, we created dynamic water surfaces, ripples, droplets, and flows that mimicked natural reflection and refraction with scientific precision.
Through 3D animation, water came alive, ripples spread organically, droplets danced, and surfaces shimmered under controlled lighting. VFX animation added realism with subtle glints, micro-particles, and flares, while 2D overlays highlighted branding cues and explanatory details seamlessly.
The result was complete creative control, perfect lighting, angles, and composition achieving breathtaking realism and elegance, all without a single real-world shoot.
Once the hero visuals were approved, we extended them into a comprehensive asset library for the brand’s marketing and retail ecosystem. This included:
3D animation loops for video banners and product films.
High-res print campaign and packaging renders.
Developments for additional brand touchpoints, while maintaining a consistent feeling of continuity across platforms.
