At PRAKRIA, we don’t simply make visuals—we create connections of people to the thoughts through experiences.

Very few things are as challenging as authentic texture, juiciness, and rich colors with fruit and nuts in food photography. Light, surface texture, translucence, and reflections need to all be in harmony to be true to the complexities of nature. PRAKRIA was hired to do the Fruits and Nuts 3D project; their mission was to elevate the already existing product photography into a feast for the senses through visuals. The client was looking for visuals that would give you the impression that you could hear the crunch or feel the creaminess of the product. But shooting real food has its limitations—perishability, inconsistent lighting, and setup complexity. So we proposed a full digital route: 3D modeling, 3D design, and 3D animation techniques.
Food photography is notoriously challenging: It’s not just about color or shape but about expressing texture, flavor and even emotion. For Fruits and Nuts 3D, PRAKRIA aimed to represent the bounty of the natural world wholly in the digital space.
The real challenge was to represent the natural realism of fruits and nuts; their shine, crispiness, juiciness and translucency, without any single real photo.
There were limitations to shooting traditional food photography: Deterioration, uneven lighting and moving parts. We had to get back that same sensory depth, that same authentic feel, but with nothing but 3D modeling and animation.
From a juice droplet to the texture of a nut shell, everything is believably tactile and mouth-watering, scientific and emotionally warm.
The brief was to create a single visual identity that spanned the gamut of print, digital, motion and interactive media and could be applied from front to back.
But it was never just about technical accuracy; it was about crafting digital assets into sensory storytelling where the viewer could almost taste the images.
In a nutshell, the challenge was to make the unthinkable feel real, to make digital fruit look fresh, alive, and totally mouthwatering, one pixel at a time.
We did 3D modeling, design, animation, and VFX animation to build a whole new environment in 3D.
We created fruits, nuts, shells, kernels, leaves, and juice drops in 3D to the point that we were able to photograph the textures of the fruits and the rest of the things—the tiny ridges, the translucency, and the irregularities.
The designs were meant to appear as if they were still moving with the flow of the fruits, elements repeating each other, and layers. We used scales, light, and negative space to let the visuals breathe.
Fruits rolling, nuts cracking, and juice droplets splashing were among the animated pieces and routines, each made to feel luxurious and deep.
Some very soft effects—like mist, micro droplets, and light flares, were put there to give more life and drama and thus to take the flat stills to the level of narrative plastic art.
In some versions, we added elegant overlays or annotations—animated callouts for nutritional highlights or descriptive labels—blending flat graphic motion with the life of 3D.
Everything being digital allowed for quick changes: lighting could be changed, angles adjusted, textures or fruit variants swapped, and re-rendering done without reshoots. That agility is one of the strongest benefits of relying on an animation-capable solution.
Once the hero visuals were approved, we extended the project across formats:
High-definition still renders for print, packaging, e-commerce, and OOH
Cinematic 3D animation clips for digital campaigns and launch teasers
Looping animations for display screens, social banners, and web headers
Variant scenes for different flavor combinations (e.g., almond & berry, cashew & mango)
UI/UX previews or interactive 3D views for websites or kiosks
Because we offer full 3D animation services, the client received a unified library of assets they could adapt again and again—no extra shoots, no compromise.
The product was given a high-end, fresh, appetizing feel by these images, which helped it stand apart from the many products available in grocery and online listings.
The brand was allowed to use CGI assets directly and manipulate them instead of relying on a shoot every time which is a cost savings and gave them more creative flexibility.
Campaign consistency improved ,digital, print, retail all shared the same visual language and motion style.
Internally, this work strengthened PRAKRIA’s reputation as a top animation / CGI studio adept at food visuals.
The Fruits and Nuts 3D project is an example of how 3D design, 3D modeling, 3D animation, and vfx animation can completely change the way that food is shown.
Animation, when it is on point, is not just a tool but a storytelling medium, thus making consumers accept as real the textures and the movement that have never existed physically. From the point of view of an animation studio, we treat every assignment as an occasion to extend the limits of realism, emotion, and brand perception.
Your brand can get visuals that are not only seen but also felt, if that is what you want—this is the point where digital craft and creativity come together.
